The Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA) requires every DJI Mavic Air operator to register before flying.
Aircraft weighing over 55 lbs (250 grams ) must have a compliant label for identification and carry a Certificate of Registration.
This means in Australia and many other countries, Drones that are less than 250 Grams (Mavic Mini weighs 249 Grams) do not need any aviation licenses and are considered for fun and recreational purpose.

1.You must not fly your drone higher than 120 meters (400 feet) above ground level.
2.You must keep your drone at least 30 meters away from other people.
3.You must only fly one drone at a time.
4.You must keep your drone within a visual line of sight. This means always being able to see the drone with your own eyes.
5.You must not fly over or above people or in a populous area. This could include beaches, parks, events, or sports ovals where there is a game in progress.
6.Respect personal privacy. Donât record or photograph people without their consent â this may breach other laws.
7.If your drone weighs more than 250 grams, you must fly at least 5.5 kilometres away from a controlled airport, which generally has a control tower at them.
8.Remember, you must not operate your drone in a way that creates a hazard to another aircraft, person or property.
9.You must only fly during the day and you must not fly through clouds or fog.
10.You must not fly your drone over or near an area affecting public safety or where emergency operations are underway.
This could include situations such as a car crash, police operations, fire or firefighting efforts or search and rescue.
11.If you’re near a helicopter landing site or a smaller aerodrome without a control tower, you can fly your drone within 5.5 kilometres.
If you become aware of manned aircraft nearby, you will have to maneuver away and land your drone as quickly and safely as possible.
12.If you intend to fly your drone for or at work (commercially), there are extra rules you must follow.
You will need a remote pilot license (RePL) or fly in the excluded category (sub-2 kilogram or private landholder).

There is no Active Track feature in the case of the Mini 2 (and the original Mini).
That means that your DJI Mavic Mini and mini 2 will not follow you while you’re on the ground in motion.
Although there are third-party apps in the app store that can be explored for this option.

Does Mavic mini need wifi?
The only time when a Wifi connection is required is for activation of the Mavic Mini. It is this time i it will prompt you to update the mini firmware.
You can completely work offline and you should turn off the Wi-Fi in the devices you use.

Can Mavic mini fly at night? Is it safe to fly at night
Yes! Mavic Mini Can fly at night time, and people have also flown in the Rain.
When it comes to safety, That depends on how/where you fly.
Flying at night is just as safe as flying in daylight as long as there is no other traffic around and you are above any obstacles that may not be seen at night.
There are some cool LEDs available on amazon that you can buy to stick on your drone for visibility.
They are like small bike lights that keep your drone in your view during the night flying experience.

How much wind can the Mavic Mini handle?
The DJI Mavic Mini is guaranteed to handle wind velocities of up to 28.4 km/h.
During the test, I have flown the drone aggressively in Position mode, and the drone could fly for around 25 minutes before I was given a warning signal to land.
I usually don’t risk flying too high and far during high winds.
