The latest and greatest digital drawing program for iPad artists, procreate, is making a lot of news in the digital art world.

It’s impossible to doubt that this software is clearly deserving of all the attention it is getting.

Freelance and independent creative artists, in particular, turn to Procreate for their work. Procreate is becoming more popular in business settings than in artistic ones.

Procreate is an iPad software designed for professional creatives if you haven’t heard of it.

Drawing, painting, and editing are all possible with the program’s many capabilities. When used with the Apple Pencil, it responds to pressure and touch input.

Online sketching applications will no longer be the same after using this revolutionary software. 64-bit color, configurable brushes, amazing canvas resolutions, a great layer system, and movie-style effects are all part of the package.

All of this comes with the typical Apple product simplicity of use (and you can save images from device to device).

While it may be entertaining for certain creatives, this tool’s most useful uses are for sketching, illustrations, minor editing, and typographic drawing.

Procreate is a favourite among Digital Artists. The iPad software designed for creative professionals simplifies and expedites design tasks in entirely new ways. Can a $9.99 app, on the other hand, be considered a real-world professional Tool?

Reasons you may want to make the shift to Procreate

Procreate Is an Industry Standard in the Creative world

The digital art industry’s gold standards are Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. A number of companies require their artists to have a working knowledge of these Adobe applications, but Procreate is an exception.

Procreate was first introduced in 2011. (source- Apple.com). Illustrator was first released in 1982 years after Adobe first released it. (source).

Before releasing Procreate in 2011, Adobe Photoshop had over 10 million users. (source). Using the same software by so many people is astonishing!

When you take a look at these dates, it’s incredible that Procreate has blossomed into widespread software. Most people recognize it now, thanks to the many well-known artists making a lot of money with it. It was only two years ago.

When it comes to digital art, programs created in 2011 are far too young to overtake older programs like Adobe. There was already work being done with Adobe programs before Procreate was created.

Everyone understands that the business world doesn’t move at the speed of business. Procreate would have to make significant changes to how art is taught in art schools and how businesses operate in order to overtake Adobe. It will be a difficult task.

You should read my post about the differences between these two programs to learn more about the differences between Procreate and Illustrator.

Do Professional Artists and Illustrators Use Procreate?

“The object of art is not to reproduce reality, but to create a reality of the same intensity.”

Retouching an Image is easy with Procreate App

Want to add some finishing touches to a photograph or change the look of some artwork? You won’t have to worry about anything with Procreate.

Blurs, sharpening, curve manipulation, color balancing, and other effects are included in the image tinkering – which we won’t call an editing suite. If you think of these tools as a way to create your own unique Instagram-style filter, you’re right.

Then you may share a time-lapse video of the changes you’ve seen with your friends and family. This handy tool is perfect for designers who are trying out new approaches and would like some feedback on their results.

This is arguably the greatest and most professional tablet editing solution available.

Are Procreate Brushes Copyrighted? The facts

Cross-Platform and Cross-Device Import and Export

Like many other apps, designs created in Procreate are made to be shared. Because of the workflow features and integration, working on your iPad and subsequently opening files on another device is a breeze.

Photoshop files are also supported by Procreate. As a result, you’ll be able to work with previous PSD files that you’ve imported.

If you’re using another software, you can simply drag and drop your work into Procreate. Brushes and palettes follow the same rules. (They are making the app as simple to use as possible.)

Is it Worth Buying an iPad for Procreate?

The program is compatible with a wide range of native file types, including PSD, TIFF, PNG, PDF, and JPEG, in addition to its own.

ARTISTS ARE ALWAYS VERY VULNERABLE WITH THEIR CONTENT IN THE INTERNET”

Procreate is an amazing tool

There’s no denying that Procreate is a fantastic tool with a slew of useful features for designers.

Compared to Adobe iPad applications, this is a far superior tablet-based solution. The way you use Procreate may allow it to completely replace other tools and apps in your workflow if that’s how you want to work.

Try it out. Even if you don’t get much work done, it’s a great deal of fun for less than $10.

And 6 Reasons That You should not use procreate

There are plenty of people who love Procreate, but it’s unlikely that it will ever replace a desktop tool like Photoshop or Illustrator.

Is Procreate Good for Logos? Procreate is not My Pick For Logo Creation

Procreate has received an Apple Design Award and is an App Store Essential. Procreate is most likely an extra tool that offers all of the aforementioned advantages while also having some drawbacks.

  • This is a tool for the iPad. Other start-up expenditures (such as an iPad Pro or an Apple Pencil) may be a deterrent despite the app’s low price.
  • There’s no “lite” or “free” method to try or sample the software.
  • The learning curve is a little steep, and you’ll want to go through the manual to get the most out of Procreate.
  • This isn’t the tool for large-scale project mockups. (There is no way to resize the canvas.)
  • Tablets aren’t for everyone. Many designers I have known ( I love working on an iPad) prefer the large screen and familiarity of working on a desktop computer
  • Not a Tool for you, If you are a LOGO artist. You would prefer Adobe Illustrator for Creating High-Quality Logos.
