Using Procreate for Graphic Design Has Some Drawbacks

Procreate is designed not specifically for graphic design but designed for drawing and illustrations.

Procreate is many artists’ first choice when it comes to creating hand-drawn digital art.

There are other programmes specifically designed for graphic design, such as Photoshop, Corel Paintshop pro, Pixlr,  Affinity Designer, and Canva, among others.

Procreate can be used for random graphic design tasks, but if you plan to do a lot of graphic design work professionally, you should consider using another programme like the photoshop.

Procreate is for iPad only ( Procreate-Pocket for iPhone)and does not have a Desktop version

The very fact that Procreate is a mobile /iPad application can be a significant advantage. It’s extremely convenient to be able to grab your iPad and draw wherever you are at any time.

Procreate is an iPad software designed specifically for professionals, and it works well with the Apple Pencil as well. In addition to 136 brushes and an easy-to-use colour picker, it includes a simple UI.

Other unique features include smudging tools that are very sensitive, as well as dual-textured brushes.

You may save your final work in a variety of file formats, including PSD, TIFF, PNG, multi-page PDF, and JPEG.

Also, Other Graphic design applications like Canva, as well as all of the Adobe softwares  have iPad & iPhone apps along with their desktop version that you can download and use while on the go.

But, procreate you will unable to use it on a Desktop or even your laptop.

However, If you prefer to work on your graphic design professional projects( Most graphic designers I have met prefer to use a desktop or Laptop for their design work ) on a computer/desktop rather than a tablet/iPhone, using an app other than Procreate may be a good idea.

With no trial or sample version of the procreate software, I had reservations about whether or not I could replace my computer-based job with Procreate.
